He has also published various academic articles and is the founder of the Legal Aid Foundation for Victims of Rape and Sexual Assault.

His academic and journalistic writings examine how courts negotiate autonomy under political and structural pressure, grounding legal analysis in practice.

Hamza Muhammad Khawaja is a law graduate of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) with a strong interest in constitutional law and human rights. At LUMS, he founded the LUMS Policy Research Initiative, Pakistan’s first student-run policy think tank, and led a national movement for the restoration of student unions, which culminated in a landmark case before the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
